Tammy McGowan
Project Officer
Tammy joined the Autism CRC in early 2022. As Project Officer for the Sylvia Rodger Academy’s Governance Program, she plays an integral role in developing and delivering a holistic capacity-building program for autistic adults interested in effective governance. Tammy has been involved with the Autism CRC since 2019, having completed the Sylvia Rodger Academy’s Future Leaders, Governance and Self Advocacy @ Work programs. Tammy was the Project Officer for the Sylvia Rodger Academy Future Leaders Program in 2022. She was also involved in Autism CRC’s Autism @ Work Forum in 2021 to ensure an Autistic voice was representing in planning and delivery and in the Project Delivery team for the Autistic Identity and Connection Program in 2023.
Aside from her role with Autism CRC, Tammy works with Aspect Positive Partnerships and Palladium. Additionally, Tammy holds governance and advisory group positions with Aspect Advisory Council, The Autistic Realm Australia (TARA), SA Water Wider World Advisory Group and JFA Purple Orange.
Tammy was late diagnosed as Autistic and ADHD, with Specific Learning Disabilities and low vision.
