Autistic adults needed to help us understand about resilience

Recruitment closed

Researchers at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre, La Trobe University are looking for Australian-based autistic adults to complete an online survey on resilience.

It should take an average of 30 minutes (though individual times may vary) to complete the survey.

Who can participate?

All autistic adults aged 18 years and above, with an official autism diagnosis (without an intellectual disability), fluent in English and live in Australia are eligible to participate.

What is the study about?

The study is about resilience and how autistic adults in Australia cope or recover from setbacks in life. We hope to understand the different pathways that are associated with wellbeing in autistic adults and identify protective circumstances that may buffer the negative effects of stress on wellbeing, allowing autistic adults to thrive.

What is involved?

This study involves an anonymous online survey. Questions include stressful events you may have experienced, your wellbeing and sense of self, how you cope with stress, your social support and quality of life. Given the current COVID-19 outbreak, we will also ask about how this pandemic may have impacted your life.

As a thank you for participating, you can choose to receive a $10AUD Coles e-voucher e-mailed to you upon completion.

How do I get involved?
