Understanding the content validity and clinical utility of a quality of life measure designed with and for autistic adults

Published May 2024
Abstract

Quality of life (QoL) in autism has been understood using measures created for the general non-autistic population. Research has demonstrated that there are nuances and additional factors that influence autistic adults’ QoL that may not be captured by existing measures. Using information gathered through previous qualitative studies, we propose a new QoL measure designed alongside autistic adults.
